BridgmanCollaborative Architecture and Culture Days Manitoba present Community Design Centre: An exciting new opportunity for non-profit groups, community groups and community sports facilities.

Award-winnipeg Winnipeg architecture and planning firm, BridgmanCollaborative Architecture, is offering a unique community design centre service for non-profit groups, community groups and community sports facilities during Culture Days 2011 (Sept 30-Oct 2, 2011)*. This is a rare opportunity for groups to obtain assisstance with project development from a firm specializing in green building and heritage preservation design, known for creating sustainable community places accessible to all people. In celebration of Culture Days, consultations will be free and open to the public, encouraging an all-inclusive, community-learning experience.

BridgmanCollaborative Architecture and Culture Days Manitoba will schedule two-hour consultations for groups on Culture Days weekend. Groups will be given complete advice on project development, including needs assessment, funding and design strategies.

Selection Process
Entrants must be a non-profit group, community group or community sports facility operating in Manitoba. To be considered, please submit a complete application form (below), which will be reviewed by BridgmanCollaborative Architecture and Culture Days Manitoba. The criteria for selection will be based on the stage, scope, community support, and timeliness of the entry. Projects intending to increase physical accessibility and/or child friendly elements are strongly encouraged to apply. Selected groups will be contacted to schedule a consultation.

*Culture Days is a national celebration of art and culture aimed ar raising the awareness and participation of all Canadians in the creative life of their communities. It's three days of free, hands-on, interactive activities that invite the public to participate "behind the scenes" to discover the worls of artists and cultural producers at work in their community. The second annual Culture Days will take place Sept 30, Oct 1 & 2, 2011.
