Corydon Community Centre represents the amalgamation of three boards - Sir John Franklin, River Heights, and Crescentwood Community Centres - into one, with the shared vision of serving the community (based on City of Winnipeg Plan 2025). Amalgamation was developed over a year-long facilitated process working with BridgmanCollaborative. The goals were to provide more accessible, affordable, and engaging programs and facilities for all ages and abilities. Working with the Corydon team, BridgmanCollaborative conducted program and facility needs assessment. Interviews, workshops and consultations with community constituents revealed a need for accessible all-ages, low-cost programming to broaden community engagement in sports activities.
