Greendell Park Community Centre Board of Directors requested guidance and direction for facilitating implementation of programming and organisational planning. Challenges facing the GPCC board required facilitation and development of the groups’ Mission, Vision, and Goals to ground subsequent recommendations. BridgmanCollaborative took these agreements and conducted a variety of mapping, demographic and comparative analysis
investigations. This data was synthesised and a complete organisational plan was presented to the board and submitted as a community report. This final report included structures for new programming options (with examples), staffing position and accountability strategy, as well as proposed funding strategies. The focus of the document was to enable the board to govern the Community Centre in a way that better addresses a broad range of community and neighbourhood needs. With targeted programming options and a structure that allows GPCC to retain its unique neighbourhood identity, this plan enables GPCC to serve the community within the vision of City of Winnipeg Plan 2025.
