What Can Be Funded Under CHRT 41?
The Canadian Human Rights Tribunal (CHRT) 41 Capital Program provides funding to support the planning, design, renovation, construction, and acquisition of infrastructure needed to deliver First Nations Child and Family Services. CHRT 41 funding creates opportunities for First Nations communities and service providers to develop the facilities and spaces necessary to support children, youth, and families.
Eligible projects must address a demonstrated service need and may support the delivery of prevention, protection, First Nations Representative Services, post-majority supports, cultural programming, family reunification initiatives, and other family support services. Funding may also support capital planning, facility development, and infrastructure projects that strengthen long-term community service delivery.
How We Support CHRT 41 Projects
CHRT 41 funding supports the development of infrastructure required to deliver First Nations Child and Family Services. Funding may be available for projects that create safe, accessible, confidential, culturally appropriate, and age-appropriate spaces that support service delivery.
Eligible capital assets may include:
Land acquisition
New building construction
Additions and facility expansions
Renovations and upgrades to existing buildings
Indoor and outdoor program spaces
Service delivery and administrative facilities
Vehicles and transportation assets
Cultural and family support spaces
