Year: Proposed
Location: Winnipeg

Client: Siloam Mission

We have named this project (for now) ... A Verandah.

A place for people to wash, to rest, to gather, to see each other's work.  We think of it as the "front porch" for Siloam Mission. The pro bono proposal (through SPARK , a Winnipeg-based service of the Canadian Community Economic Development Network) offers a welcoming and sheltering roof, seating and raised platforms, footbath and handwashing stations, mist spray, infra-red heater, and community art projects. The colour orange links to Main Street Project nearby and speaks to the colour of reconciliation.
