We have received 30 awards in inclusive design and heritage architecture — to our knowledge, more than any other architectural firm in Manitoba. Our work includes cultural facilities, health and wellness complexes, early childhood education centres, museums, historic sites, commercial buildings, residential projects, public art, and private commissions.


2019
POP-UP WINNIPEG | International Downtown Association IDEA Pinnacle Award (Public Space)
"Pinnacle Awards are the highest level of recognition that IDA provides, and include only projects the Awards Committee identifies as exceeding expectations in the areas of innovation, representation and sustainability." The Pinnacle Award [Public Space] recognizes the work of BridgmanCollaborative Architecture (in concert with the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ and Siloam Mission) and the POP-UP WINNIPEG PUBLIC TOILET.
POP-UP WINNIPEG | SPIRIT OF WINNIPEG - Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce Design & Building Award

A WINNIPEG POP-UP CAMPAIGN | Plan Canada Award
Awarded for our article PUBLIC TOILETS, ACCESSIBILITY AND HUMAN RIGHTS: A WINNIPEG POP-UP CAMPAIGN published in Plan Canada (fall 2018). 
The Plan Canada Awards were established to recognize the best articles published in Plan Canada the preceding year. The articles are evaluated by the Plan Canada Awards Jury and judged according to: "the extent to which the article serves the needs and interests of Plan Canada readers; writing style and clarity; good journalism (including insight, imagination, depth of reporting and analysis); and demonstrated leadership and innovation."

ST. VITAL LIBRARY RENOVATION | Heritage Winnipeg Preservation Award for Excellence (Institutional Conservation)
Awarded to BridgmanCollaborative Architecture for their sensitive work undertaken for the maintenance and upgrades at the ST. VITAL LIBRARY, located at 6 Fermor Avenue, working in collaboration with the City of Winnipeg to develop and execute a successful rehabilitation.

2018
INGLIS BUILDING | Heritage Winnipeg Conservation Award for Excellence (Commercial Conservation)
Awarded to BridgmanCollaborative Architecture for the conservation of the INGLIS BUILDING (NWTCA) located at 291 Garry Street. For the complete review for façade and preventive maintenance. This included a sensitive restoration of the lavishly adorned white Terra Cotta façade (originally designed by Ross & McDonald of Montreal), involving re-pointing, re-glazing and replacing Terra Cotta units, with primary focus on the top cornice, crest and parapet.
WESLEY HALL - LEATHERDALE HALL, UNIVERSITY OF WINNIPEG | Heritage Winnipeg Conservation Award for Excellence
Awarded to BridgmanCollaborative Architecture for the addition to University of Winnipeg's WESLEY HALL - LEATHERDALE HALL - located at 515 Portage. For our work regarding the restoration of Wesley Hall through the development and construction of Leatherdale Hall, restoring the only remaining original stonework and wood windows, which date back to 1894. For constructing future connections through Leatherdale Hall, between Sparling Hall and Wesley Hall.

Awarded to BridgmanCollaborative Architecture for the design of University of Winnipeg's LEATHERDALE HALL.

2016
VIA RAIL STATION (formerly UNION STATION) | City of Winnipeg Award of Excellence in Accessible Architectural Design
Awarded to BridgmanCollaborative Architecture for the renovation and refurbishment of  VIA RAIL STATION.

2015
WINS BRIDGMAN | City of Winnipeg Leadership Award for the Advancement of Accessible Environmental Design
Awarded to Wins Bridgman for LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT.
EAST ELMWOOD COMMUNITY CENTRE (EECC) | City of Winnipeg Award of Excellence in Accessible Architectural Design
Awarded to BridgmanCollaborative Architecture for EAST ELMWOOD COMMUNITY CENTRE (EECC).
VIA RAIL STATION (formerly UNION STATION) | Heritage Winnipeg Preservation Award for Excellence (Commercial Conservation)
Awarded to BridgmanCollaborative Architecture for our work and vision for the historic former UNION STATION (now VIA RAIL STATION) built in 1911 and located at 123 Main Street. For the restoration of the historic rotunda, the enhancement of the passenger area, and augmenting the exterior at the back entrance, therefore strengthening the connection of the building from the Forks and Saint Boniface.

MAYFAIR RECREATIONAL CENTRE | City of Winnipeg Award of Excellence in Accessible Architectural Design
Awarded to BridgmanCollaborative Architecture for the design of MAYFAIR RECREATIONAL CENTRE.

2012
HISTORIC BARBER HOUSE REHABILITATION | Heritage Winnipeg Preservation Award for Excellence (Commercial Conservation)
Awarded to BridgmanCollaborative Architecture for our pivotal role in the rehabilitation process of the historic BARBER HOUSE (circa 1865) at 99 Euclid Avenue in Winnipeg, for their commitment and expertise in working with the owners and the community of North Point Douglas, to successfully rehabilitate and integrate a heritage structure into a community building and a daycare.

2011
MANITOBA INDIGENOUS CULTURAL AND EDUCATION CENTRE (MICEC) | Heritage Winnipeg Preservation Award for Excellence (Institutional Conservation) - Awarded to BridgmanCollaborative Architecture for the historic rehabilitation of the MANITOBA INDIGENOUS CULTURAL EDUCATION CENTRE (MICEC), and our excellent approach to the sympathetic preservation of a historic exterior and a visionary plan for the interior.
HISTORIC BARBER HOUSE RESTORATION | City of Winnipeg Accessibility Award - Awarded to BridgmanCollaborative Architecture for the restoration of the historic BARBER HOUSE in North Point Douglas, Winnipeg.

2010
TRAPPIST MONASTERY RUINS RESTORATION | Heritage Winnipeg Preservation Award for Excellence (Insitutional Conservation) - Awarded to BridgmanCollaborative Architecture for the TRAPPIST MONASTERY RUINS, for careful attention to an accurate and detailed restoration of an important provincial landmark.
ASIATIC LION EXHIBIT AREA, ASSINIBOINE PARK ZOO | Caza Baines Award - Winnipeg's Assiniboine Park Zoo's new ASIATIC LION EXHIBIT AREA, designed by BridgmanCollaborative Architecture, received this national award.
SARGEANT TOMMY PRINCE PLACE | Winnipeg Accessibility Award - Awarded to BridgmanCollaborative Architecture for accessible aquatic features used in the SARGEANT TOMMY PRINCE PLACE (formerly NORTH CENTENNIAL RECREATION AND LEISURE CENTRE).
MANITOBA INDIGENOUS CULTURAL AND EDUCATION CENTRE (MICEC) | Winnipeg Accessibility Award - Awarded to BridgmanCollaborative Architecture for the accessible features used in the MANITOBA INDIGENOUS CULTURAL AND EDUCATION CENTRE (MICEC).

2009
PATH TO FULL CITIZENSHIP - MANITOBA LEGISLATURE ACCESSIBILITY RAMP | Winnipeg Accessiblity Award - Awarded to the PATH TO FULL CITIZENSHIP, the accessibility ramp to the Manitoba Legislature, designed by BridgmanCollaborative Architecture.
ASSINIBOINE PARK DUCK POND PAVILION | Winnipeg Accessibility Award (Honourable Mention) - For the use of best practices and universal design principles in the development of the ASSINIBOINE PARK DUCK POND PAVILION.
A.A. HEAPS BUILDING | Heritage Winnipeg Preservation Award for Excellence (Institutional Conservation) - Awarded to BridgmanCollaborative Architecture for the A.A. HEAPS BUILDING (254 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg) as a fine example of a historic restoration and rehabilitation of the dome, exterior cornice and building face.

2008
DALNAVERT MUSEUM VISITORS' CENTRE | Prairie Design Award of Merit - Awarded to DALNAVERT MUSEUM, an interpretive centre attached to the historic house-museum of Hugh John Macdonald. The visitor centre was built under the auspices of the Manitoba Historical Society and was the first “green” heritage building in Canada.
OLD DOMINION BANK BUILDING | Heritage Winnipeg Preservation Award for Excellence (Commerciall Conservation)
Awarded to BridgmanCollaborative Architecture for the OLD DOMINION BANK BUILDING (678 Main Street, Winnipeg), recognizing bold rehabilitation that has contributed to the re-invigoration of the North Main neighbourhood and surrounding area.
MANITOBA LEGISLATURE RAMP | Heritage Winnipeg Preservation Award for Excellence (Institutional Conservation)
BridgmanCollaborative Architecture, for a successful intervention, which retains the heritage values of the ramp addition to the MANITOBA LEGISLATURE, while making the main entrance universally accessible.
DALNAVERT MUSEUM VISITORS' CENTRE | Winnipeg Accessibility Award
Awarded to the DALNAVERT MUSEUM VISITORS' CENTRE designed by BridgmanCollaborative Architecture.

2006
DALNAVERT MUSEUM VISITORS' CENTRE | Heritage Winnipeg Preservation Award for Excellence (Institutional Conservation)
Awarded to BridgmanCollaborative Architecture for our sensitive and sympathetic expertise in the addition to the DALNAVERT MUSEUM VISITORS' CENTRE (61 Carlton Street, Winnipeg), which achieves excellence as a building, while sustaining, and not detracting from, a historic site.

2005
CITY CROSSING INTERNATIONAL DESIGN COMPETITION | Heritage Winnipeg Preservation Award for Excellence (Institutional Conservation)
In recognition of Wins Bridgman’s coordination of the CITY CROSSING INTERNATIONAL DESIGN COMPETITION for the redevelopment of Portage Avenue and Main Street in Winnipeg.

2003
WATERFRONT DRIVE INTERNATIONAL DESIGN COMPETITION | Heritage Winnipeg Preservation Award for Excellence (Institutional Conservation)
In recognition of Wins Bridgman’s coordination of the WATERFRONT DRIVE INTERNATIONAL DESIGN COMPETITION for the City of Winnipeg Waterfront Housing.

WINS BRIDGMAN | Heritage Winnipeg Preservation Award for Excellence, Distinguished Service Award
Recognizing Wins Bridgman for initiating and organizing INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH, a University of Manitoba student exhibition of studio projects; including Ogilvie Mills and Princess Block sites (at City Hall).
