SERGEANT TOMMY PRINCE PLACE ACCESSIBLE POOL ENTRY
Year: 2010
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Client: City of Winnipeg
Awards: Winnipeg Accessibility Award
As part of BridgmanCollaborative's Sergeant Tommy Prince Place renovation, a new accessible aquatic entry was constructed for the existing Olympic-sized pool. The sloped tile walkway now allows users of all ages to gently and safely enter and exit the water. The undulating edge of the walkway also integrates the entry with the existing pool by creating alcoves, allowing the walkway to become an engaging public space.
